Today is dedicated to acclimatization, crucial for a successful trek. Visit the iconic monasteries like Thiksey and Shey, marvel at the architecture, and enjoy panoramic views of the Indus Valley. Take a leisurely stroll through Leh, acclimating to the altitude and preparing for the upcoming journey.

Embark on your trek, starting from Leh and passing through Chilling before reaching Skiu. The trek takes 5-6 hours, and youll witness the changing landscape, from lush greenery to the rugged terrains of Skiu, situated at an elevation of 3400m.

Traverse through picturesque landscapes, crossing the Markha River and witnessing the local way of life. Reach Markha Village at 3700m, surrounded by barley fields and a stunning backdrop of the Himalayas, making for a serene and culturally rich experience.

As you ascend, the landscape becomes more dramatic. Pass through Hankar, offering panoramic views of the Markha Valley. Reach Thochungtse at 4200m, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, providing a glimpse of the challenges and rewards of high-altitude trekking.

Todays trek brings you to the base camp of Kang Yatse II at 5050m. The route offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, with each step taking you closer to the challenge that waits. Today marks the summit attempt on Kang Yatse II, standing at an impressive 6225m. The ascent is both physically demanding and mentally exhilarating. Begin your descent from Kang Yatse II Base camp to Kang Yatse I Base camp at 5000m. The trail offers a different perspective of the landscape, and the lower altitude provides relief. Take this day to rest and recover before the next phase of the trek.

Resume your trek to Kang Yatse II Summit Camp at 5500m. The trail takes you through diverse terrains, offering a mix of challenges and scenic beauty. As you approach the summit camp, the anticipation builds for the final push towards the highest point of Kang Yatse II.
